so yesterday we watch this video on israel.
and stuff. and it just makes me realize how truly miraculous
it was for them to regroup into a country.
they just went through the holocaust.
and yet still they migrate to israel, create a democracy.
establish themselves as a nation on may 14, 1948.
like they had all these muslim nations against them.
and then like right after, these arab countries [egypt, syria, jordan, lebanon & iraq]
ATTACK. and it's like 5 million people. with a whole bunch of tanks.
against this small, unprepared nation of like 800 thousand.
and they win against all odds.
then those arab nations regroup. reform. ATTACK AGAIN.
and it's like omgsh. they're seriously gonna die now.
but still. against all odds. they win.
and then like. 1967 egypt, jordan, syria go over and like wanna attack. they blocked israel's access to red sea
so then. Israel.FIGHTS BACK.
suddenly. unexpectedly. starts the six-day war and captures the west bank, gaza strip, sinai peninsula, and golan heights.
yet again, these arab muslim nations regroup. reform. prepare to attack.
then in 1973 on yom kippur [october 6]
egypt and syria go and KABOOM. they attack. suddenly. and like
Israel suffers great losses. but they still win.
and establishes herself as the only democracy in the middle east.
so now I'm all like wow.
how did they do this? it's UNNATURAL.
you could call it miraculous intervention.
for one tiny nation to defend itself
to gain more land as FIVE nations attack it
with its tanks, fighter jets, and everything.
israel has like nothing.
still, they fight.
still, they never give up.
and still, they win.
and this all just makes me think. wow. these guys really are God's chosen people
to withstand such attacks. I mean like
if you put 800,000 americans against like 5 mil arabs. I guarantee, we'll lose.
but that's eactly what happened with the israelites. and they won.
crazy huh?
and to think that the bible has predicted all of this - the coming together of israel,
the wanting to rebuild solomon's temple
like two three thousand years ago.
these are all signs of the last days. we are truly, truly living in the end times.
and there's still more to come.
in Ezekiel 38 there's another prophecy about israel.
most bible researchers call it, the battle of gog and magog.
sound familiar anyone?
and it names all of these nations, like persia, cush, put, gomer, beth togarmah, tubal, meshech
and it says that they're gonna all come together
to unite and attack israel. and that this is gonna be a sign of the end times
now we know these countries as like iran and russia.
and it's like. coming into place! seriously. like even people who don't read the bible
like politicians and like whatever you call them. they can see that iran and russia
are drawing closer to an alliance than ever before.
then also in ezekiel 38/39 it goes on to say.
18 This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign LORD. 19 In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. 20 The fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground. 21 I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign LORD. Every man's sword will be against his brother. 22 I will execute judgment upon him with plague and bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him. 23 And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the LORD.'
scary, eh?
but that's seriously what's gonna happen.
and the people of this world shall truly know.
that Christ is Lord.
